Well, Tom,,, read my lips

I never have said Legacy should ditch Acrobat Reader, although I for one
would not miss it one whit. If Acrobat works for you in some special way,
and you can afford the price, that's fine -- go for it!

I only ask that Legacy reports output be available in formats which our
preferred word processor can read and edit.

It's really quite simple -- my SS budget has no surplus with which to buy
something as expensive and specialized as Acrobat, nor do I care to learn
yet another application.

Cheers

I must disagree. I have the full version and use all the time for many
things - I have never regretted the purchase. I have just received 85
letters dating to the mid 19th century (already transcribed by someone
else many years ago using a typewriter) and am now in the process of
putting to PDF files for distribution to the family(s) via CD. In this
project the alternative would be OCR for which I have no time or
inclination.

I, for one, would hope that Legacy upgrades to a later version.
