Kristian,

Your support of Legacy and Legacy users for the past several years is very much appreciated. This forum is a great example of how people can work together on a common issue. I know the feelings of horror at the 26 Dec tragedy are as strong in the US as anywhere else in the world. There are collection points in place in every community in the US for money and materials. History will show that the US reacts quickly and appropriately to events in other places in the world. Our government's contribution of 350 million dollars will be dwarfed by the contributions of US citizens and businesses. I'm sorry but I don't see how rejection of neutral entities like mailing lists is going to improve anything in a universal sense. I hope you do reconsider and continue to provide the leadership the list needs.

Jim

Subject: [LegacyUG] A New Year sorrow

Three years ago a whole world supported US in their sorrow after September 11.

In theese days a whole world is in sorrow from the losses of December 26.

I miss US in that sorrow.

Probably, but not confirmed, Sweden has lost 3500 (with 8 million), Norway 1500 and Denmark 800 (each 5 million). That is twice September 11.

At this moment governments of theese three countries has given support to the region of about half a billion dollars. Private persons the double. In adition all victims are taken home free, and with free medical care.

My wish for the New Year is the human support of the Indian Ocean area, not the Iraque murderers.

Kristian in Norway

PS: For the moment I have decided to leave all my US lists by Januar the second. Any reactions at private mail adress wil be answered
