Hi again, June, I've found some more information on the "None" option. In Evidence! by Elizabeth Shown Mills, in Fig. 9 she defines formatting options for Published works (Italicise), Unpublished works (use quotation marks) and to quote her: "Serial Manuscript Volumes (courthouse books, church registers, etc.) use neither italics nor quotation marks." I presume this is what the None option is for.
