The first obvious thing is to "suppress details for living people" and make
sure the Export private information boxes are unchecked. You then need to go
into "Customise" and make sure the relevant boxes for exclusions from the
export are ticked. After setting up what you want then save the information
as it isn't retained from one export to the next - and it is easier to use
Load than to try to remember what you did last time.
What I do is to keep personal information, that is not to be published, in
Research Notes. So, I make sure that the "research notes" box is ticked, as
well as address/phone, medical notes and To Do items.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Clean GEDCOM export?

Hello all.

I recently found that the family tree file I posted to RootsWeb.com
included all my notes including some phone numbers and such. I'd like
to re-post a clean version there that includes just the core
information and no notes. I'm looked at the GEDCOM export and it does
appear to allow limiting information based on things like items marked
PRIVATE but I don't see anything that will just limit all the notes
like you can when building a web page via Legacy.

Any ideas?
