I use two events for wills. One called Will indicating the date it was written and summarising the contents, the other called Probate giving the date it was proved, by whom and where. I usually also transcribe the will in full and put the transcript in the source detail.
I suspect you should keep the information in brackets. I think it indicates the will is filed in the Principal Probate Registry with the reference number 509 in 1888.
