I wanted to reply to saving "backups" yesterday but I needed to experiment
first.

I have a 7 port USB hub and keep 2 USB Flash/Stick Memory drives active at
all times. Legacy backups can be made to those drives as easily as to any
other location. If you routinely use Stick Memory to back up data files, as
I do, the problem is non-existent. It also simplifies porting data to my
computer in another state - just put 1-3 Stick drives in the pocket - no
floppies, no CDs to burn and carry, no sweat.

Of course music and pictures require a lot of memory and you may need one or
more CDs for that - but Stick Memory is up to 5 Gig now. The only problem
I've had was taking the 3rd Stick Memory to the gym to workout - it looks a
lot like the workout computer key if you don't look closely and the aging
brain is not plugged in.
