I have found the same solution as Cathy. You have to adjust a tab if an entry in a particular column is somewhat longer or shorter than the rest of the entries in that column. I just finished two reports that were perfectly aligned, but it took far to much diddling. Wish that Legacy would fix this problem.
There is an added advantage to typing the note in another program first--you can save it and it is available for re-entry in a note if needed.
