Jack,

Go to the Legacy Help file and look up Multiple and Single Parents.  You can
certainly link children to a father with no wife, a woman with no husband
and a father with multiple wives or a mother with multiple husbands,
attaching the child to the appropriate father or mother.

NOTE: Legacy Support Why not allow actual unmarried father to be linked and
named in a future update as that family's info (medical, DNA, history) is
important. Now, the kids are like second class citizens
