Jennifer, I can't reproduce this problem in the report's Index -- for either the Descendent Book or the Desc. Narrative Book reports. Although, I also have "Include alternate names" checked, too, and none of those have birth/death dates (or even the parentheses) printing. I also do NOT have the Location Index selected to print (just in case there's something really weird going on). Neither am I producing a TOC. Your problem sounds truly out of the ordinary; that's why I'm mentioning other settings. --Paula
Robert, Yes, that box is checked. There are more without the dates in the index than are. I can't see any pattern to it. Cathy, I haven't suppressed living on. I have just done a check/repair, and nothing changed.
