David,
Besides name changes, be sure to check the results of non-bio child-parent relationships if you share data or use a different program for web site and wall charts. Currently trying to check direct import of PAF 5.2 by Legacy 5 but unsure of the way to enter blended families in PAF for testing.

My main file has some branches with small families and long marriages eg. record length 1927 to 2001. First cousins who moved the most distance from childhood homes more often had multiple marriages and larger families.

Discovered recently that some relationships were lost if a child had multiple parents in the original file and some non-bio relationships (primary or preferred parents) in one program are changed to bio by a transfer.

With any data entry decision, be sure there is enough detail to explain multiple parents and non-bio relationships after a transfer. I have some children entered like two or three separate individuals so that it is possible to explain their relationship in the birth family, census family and with step-family in group pictures. -- Elizabeth

Just wondering how you all keep track of names of adopted children.
