Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Question Pocket Genealogist file transfer to Legacy

Hi Legacy Users,

I see that Kevin the developer of Pocket Genealogist has already answered
this
but I'd like to also say a couple things about the Pocket Genealogist.
Kevin
has worked very hard on Pocket Genealogist and it is a great program. He
is
great programmer and has done an excellent job with the data synchronization

between Pocket Genealogist and Legacy. In fact through all of his testing
and
work with making sure data is never lost he has helped me solve some
important
data issues with Legacy. He knows Legacy inside and out and has designed
the
Pocket Genealogist to take full advantage of your Legacy data. The Pocket
Genealogist was built for Legacy. I'd have to say that you can feel 100%
confident in the job Kevin has done. I have never seen anyone so devoted to
his
users and to his product and to making sure your data is safe in every way.
We
don't know of anyone who has ever lost information or has had any problems
with
anything.

For those who have never tried the Pocket Genealogist it's a great tool.
It
will read your Legacy family file information into your Windows CE device.
On
your device you have full editing capabilities and the program is awesome.
When you get home you can then transfer all changes you have made on your
handheld device right back into your Legacy file. This gives you real
power to
be able to make your Legacy data portable where you can take it anywhere you
go.
Being able to edit your file where ever you are helps keep things up to date
and
accurate. No more do you have to try to remember things and then try to
enter
things when you get home. All of the Pocket Genealogist users that I have
talked to simply love the program and I think all of them love what Kevin
has
done with it. He listens to his users and has given them so much power in
such
a nice program.

Richard quoted one of our support people as saying data on a hand held
device
should be considered as Read/only. This used to be true but since the
release
of the full syncronized version of Pocket Genealogist many, many of our
users
have had no problems at all using full power of the Pocket Genealogist with
it's
exciting editing capabilities and it's two-way data syncronization between
Legacy and your Windows CE device.

Thanks
