This isn't a mistake.  It is a feature of Legacy.  This in no way indicates
that the 2nd marriage has children but it shows that they are the children
of the first marriage as showing them with the mother in ( ).

I have step brothers & step sisters.  I find it useful to easily go between
them and myself by showing 1/2 kids.

You can turn of the view of 1/2 siblings (which I find useful) by right
clicking on any child, Select "View" and then click on "Show 1/2 Kids."  You
can likewise turn this view on at any time by following these same steps.
