I'd like to see a report which, for selected persons (all persons, family, tagged, focus group, descent line, etc), lists the birth, marriage, and death dates ... format would be something like this:
Date Name Event Location
Thats the whole thing (sorted by date) ... I remember seeing this in some genealogy program long ago. It can be very useful for seeing the timeline of events ... and where the timing of events do or don't make sense ... and it's all that many members of my family really care about. It should be a snap to program.
Later on, perhaps baptism, christening, and burial could be included ... maybe someday even dated events ... but I'd settle for the three mentioned above.
Anyone else think this would be useful? Or will I have to buy MS Access for about $200 and do it myself? Or wait for the OpenOffice Suite (free) to add Access database functions?
