It was easy to see that Valerie's suggestion didn't quite give you what you wanted, though it may be closer when saved to csv and then sorted though messy as I think you'd have to add the names to the other lines.
I can dimly see that your suggestion is an interesting timeline if used for a group who lived near each other or were closely related - so you don't really have the reams of paper problem as I doubt you'd run it on the whole file at once - and maybe you would never print it but view as pdf?
BUT you haven't looked very closely at Legacy if you don't realise that the Name List is the same structure with the same options as the Search List and can show a selected group and print only that group.
I recently learnt you can tag a focus group so even more versatile than I previously thought. See Search Miscellaneous.

Although I'm not sure what "3rd level technical support' is, your suggestion will not give me the report I want. It will produce a report with three contiguous lines for each person ... my request is for three seperate lines sorted by the date of the event.
1) The Name Report will only produce a report for the entire file (I believe). I asked for selection criteria as in other reports.
