When using sources, in "detail text," "detail comments," and "source
text," but NOT in "source comments," if I make an entry in brackets,
like this "[text]" without an ending period, Legacy simply reproduces
what I input. But if I add a period inside the brackets, like this
"[text.]", Legacy feels compelled to add an additional period AFTER the
brackets so that I end up with "[text.].".

Again, I don't get this in "source comments." Also, I haven't detected
a problem with parentheses.

I use brackets for insertions which are not really part of the citation,
such
as [See also . . .].

Am I doing something wrong or does Legacy need a fix?

"Eats shoots and leaves," is really different from "eats, shoots and
leaves."
