Coming late into this discussion. "John Doe had red hair" has been quoted as an example of a fact in several e-mails. In my way of doing things it would be a "physical description" event. You only know that he had red hair at the time of the description or photograph. When I was 18 I was blonde and skinny. Now I am grey haired and unfortunately can no longer be dscribed as skinny. Hair colour may not be an event but the act of describing in words or photos is an event. Any description of physical appearance is time dependant and therefore an event. The same could probably now be applied to eye colour. People change their eye colour with contact lenses.
I suspect the same reasoning could be applied to most facts.
