Those independent "reviews" are mostly based on the feature set of
each program, the layout of the screens, and the perceived ease-of-use.
Whether the features of the programs actually work or not isn't tested
to any significant degree.

I'm not at all dissatisfied with the basic design of Legacy and the
data structures that support it. In fact, I like it very, very much.
Any dissatisfaction has to do with the haphazard code and the apparent
lack of any meaningful testing before it is released. For that matter,
there doesn't appear to be any version control of official "releases",
even though they are numbered. It seems that each release contains not
only the code that was intended to be in it, but also some past code
(which re-breaks things that had already been fixed) and some future
code (which was not yet supposed to be released).

Judging by the number of people on this list who have to use multiple
programs (I'm not one of them, yet) because they cannot get useable
reports from Legacy, I'd say that my comments were rather typical of
many users. As I have mentioned before on this list, whether I switch
or not will be determined by whether Version 6 has been TESTED and is
working satisfactorily BEFORE it is released.

Bob

Well, it does seem that you are terribly dissatisfied with a program that
receives a lot of *independent* accolades! Such vitriolic comments!

Why do you not then switch to a better one?
