Hi Debbie,
The problem of the size of Source Pictures in Source Citations is difficult though I would think it could be easily fixed by printing the Source Pictures (whether attached to the Master Source OR the Source Detail) in an appendix with the picture replaced in the Source Citations list with a note saying to See Picture x in the appendix.
The Scrapbook issue I suspect can only be solved by not including Source Pictures. Don't tick the Sources box - or isn't it honouring the ticks?
If you really want the Source Image in the Scrapbook, for census images you could just add to Head of household or the marriage, for other images, some appropriate individual. They wouldn't print in reports from there as they wouldn't be the preferred image but you could pick them up in the Scrapbook - but again, with census images, size will probably be a problem unless you are giving all images a full page, as they need to be full page to be legible. There is always going to be a problem when mixing types of images together.
It would be good to have an option to only print each picture once - another case where this would be helpful - I have twin sisters and in most early photos they are together so the photo is attached to both.
However for me the Scrapbook part of Legacy is an extra I can do without as there are many programs to handle photos so I wouldn't give it a high priority.
More important for me in Legacy are the Source Photos and finding a way to include the Marriage Photo in book reports. I've worked around this by adding Photo events and add a number of family photos as well - but it would be good if the main wedding photo attached in its place would print in book reports alongside the marriage paragraph.
Cheers, Cathy

Okay, I'm tired of trying to get the results I would like and always failing. <g> So, hopefully, someone here can even tell me if what I'd like to happen actually will happen. I have about 200 census images that I would like to link to their respective people/events and/or sources.
Some background information: I keep my census sources a little bit on the general side, because like most people, I have numerous families in one area. For example, I have the following census sources: 1850 IL Massac census 1860 IL Massac census 1870 IL Massac census 1880 IL Massac census 1900 IL Massac census 1910 IL Massac census 1920 IL Massac census 1930 IL Massac census The source detail is where I put the city, ED, page, dwelling/family numbers and household. In the source detail text is where I put the transcript (set to print only first time). In the census event, I only list the date and place for each person on that census. So, because of the way I keep my sources, I can't really put the picture in the master source, because if I print a scrapbook for a set of individuals in a family line that I've tagged, and select to print source pictures, I'm also going to get the pictures I've attached for other family lines that are not tagged.
Now, here is what I have tried to do. I've tried attaching the census image to the citation detail, but if I go to print a scrapbook for a family line, I'm going to get the exact same picture numerous times. Highly unacceptable. Same exact problem if I add the image to the event. When I print a scrapbook for a family line, I'm going to get the same image numerous times over. It would be extremely helpful to have a selection to only print an image 1 time.
And if I select to print a source detail picture it in the actual report, I get this very tiny little blurb which, of course can't be read, also unacceptable. In this case I would prefer to have an option to print at the end of a report, before the index.
Is there anything that I should try doing that I've missed? Or am I trying to do the impossible?
