What did everyone come up with for entering location data? For all of my Australian sites I only have place state and country. So I would have it formatted like this Khancoban, , New South Wales, Australia.?
From an Aussie, this is exactly I enter my locations. I use the place/county/state/country as well, but do not record the county, and all mine are exactly as in your example.
Now the real question. How does everyone add the addresses for a location - a street address for example.
On the Individual's Information screen, next to each of the, next to each of the Born/Chr/Died/Buried locations, there is a grey/blue PLUS. Click this and you extra provisions for Address/Notes/Pictures. for example I have an Individual called Adam Mather b. 8 Feb 1822 in Kilmarnock,, Ayr, Scotland. I can add a birth address using the blue PLUS, a separate CHR address, a separate death address, and a separate burial address.
Then using the Address icon located 2nd from left in the series of 8 icons on the Individual Info screen between the surname field and save button, you can have last know residence address, and any previous addresses can go in the Notes section of the Address dialog.
