I have always kept them in subfolders of \Legacy\Pictures - naively, I
thought that was the recommended/default place?

As far as I can see, my pictures are already linked - eg they show up
OK on the Family View screen.

Why should updating Legacy affect the links when I have not changed
the picture locations?
