Hi
 With Legacy open on your screen. Look at the very bottom right side of the
screen you will see H:x x being a number. This is the Husbands RIN next is
M:x this is the Marriage number MRIN this is followed by W:x the wifes RIN
Look through some more screens and you will see these numbers are always
shown depending on who you are looking at.
What I do when I enter a new marriage into the database I retype the MRIN
into the User ID box of the wife, hausband and any children that are not
married.
This ensures that if the MRIN number do change you will still be able to
find your files.
I have used this system for four years and had no trouble.
