Good point.

All my web pages are validated at http://validator.w3.org/ and
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ precisely because I want my code to be
usable by all web browsers. I do not wish to be in the position of
compelling potential users to have to by a Windoze machine running IE in
order to see my pages.

As for those hung up on using non-standard HTML because they like the
effects, well all I can say is having the 'bells and whistles' is obviously
more important to them than ensuring that all potential viewers can view
their web pages. Seems terribly short-sighted to me.

As for those who stick with IE because they are too lazy to get a decent
(and compliant) browser, who don't care about the bugginess and gross
susceptibility to being hacked, well they're getting what they deserve.

Oh, and by the way, Micro$oft is a member of W3C and has input in setting
those standards. They just don't care to abide by that to which they've
agreed.
