2. Any extracted or computerized record is subject to the errors made by someone reading it. There are misspellings and wrong names in the Norway computerized censuses , for example. One of my ancestors is listed as Nils Anderson - should be Nils Audenson.
You *really* need to look at the original records on microfilm - anything else and you're just picking up somebody else's mistakes (At least make your *own* mistakes ;-) ). Use the extracts and computerized versions as a guide to * *where* to look, but don't believe that they are 100% accurate - they aren't.

The site http://digitalarkivet.uib.no has the church records, census, tax records, military records, emigration, immigration records all online, which was done by the University of Bergen and the Government of Norway Archives.
