I agree there is a need to upgrade locations handling. However, I'm
not sure that forcing entries into rigid boxes solves the problem.
There was a long thread in the list some months ago canvassing all the
options people wanted. My top priority for Locations is an AKA
facility. (This would probably help with your Ecclesiastical names
function as well).

Hopefully Dave has it on the (very long) wish list!
