Thanks for this tip about customising the columns in index view.  I didn't 
know it existed and have often wished I could see a person's parents without 
having to go back to Family View, especially as I have many people with the 
same names.  I have just saved an index view that allows me to see the 
parent's names.  Wonderful.

Hi Hans,
You seem to be talking about the Index View.
Perhaps you can make use of the Save and Load buttons on the dialogue 
where you Customise the Columns to save different combinations of 
information to be displayed in this Index View.
Have you also noticed that you can combine date and place for Birth, Death 
etc in one column instead of using two?

The information is more readily available on other views such as the 
Pedigree, when the person is highlighted and the Descendant View when the 
person is highlighted.
