It does not make any difference where the software installs. If it works OK its not broken therefore don't mend it! For what it is worth Generations and FTM both installed on C:\ on my XP computer.

I just think Legacy should follow standard practices instead of defaulting to C:\Legacy. I also agree with you that you should be able to put the program and user data files in the same folder. Ugh! I'd never do that voluntarily but if you want the program and user files in the same folder you should have that option. I just don't think that it should be defaulted that way during the install. IMO the user files should be put in My Documents/Legacy. I took all the defaults when I installed Legacy. I have some time and I think I'll uninstall and reinstall and set it up in Program Files and My Documents and see if I run in to any problems.
