Thanks for the advise Matt. I will keep this info in my folder. Carol

It will work only if you are using the Pedigree style webpages and only if you do not drastically renumber your RINS.
When I tried changing only the used ones on my webpage using the family style there were several changes that resulted in bad links because I had added to my file.
Using the Pedigree Style format assigns an html page that uses the RIN ID as part of the naming of the pages My suggestion is to not renumber RINS if you delete large numbers of individuals. If you delete only a few and add new people and renumber those new ones before you make your next webpage you won't have much of a problem. The only inconvenience is if someone cited one of your deleted individuals page.

A few months or so ago I read that it is difficult to fix or add to your family trees on a web site, which made me decide to wait to do a web site. Everyone has done such a great job, I am wondering if any of you found this a problem. Carol
I have tried to replace only new files but have gotten caught several times with bad links in the middle of my page. Last time - I just deleted everything from my homepage site and uploaded it all (quite a bit - even on broadband)! I think I will try (next time) copying my current files into an OLD folder - and producing the new ones -- then comparing DATES MODIFIED and only sending up the ones that have been changed. Should work!
