I am a very new Legacy user and attempting (struggling more like it) to reconcile my old database to a format consistent in Legacy. Legacy appears to have such wonderful and exciting possibilities, if I can ever get past this stage.

(1) For those who have died in war, I have always entered in the category of death locations, such as = Battle of Shiloh - Civil War.

Apparently, the format for legacy doesn't agree with this type of entry. I haven't the foggiest notion of where I am suppose to enter this death location.

(2) Also, I have reviewed (many times) the earlier postings to this newsgroups, have the User's Guide and several cd's and I still don't have a clear understanding of where to enter cemeteries.
(3) Perhaps, I don't understand why a battlefield is not the location of death or a cemetery is not the burial location.

I would so appreciate any help.

Thank you - from an overwhelmed new user,
Anna

Anna,

Suggest you use the following location:
Battle of Shiloh, Hardin County, TN, USA
