Thanks for the suggestions. Just one comment though. For batch changes of the type of "change words" eg change 'bgcolor=black' to 'class="bg1" ' to convert to CSS I would suggest PsPad from:

1. Backup your Legacy database or export everything to a new temporary file
to work on.
2. With yourself as the current selected name, tag all direct ancestors (let's say tag 1).
3. Open the database .fdb file in Access and then open the table called tblIR.
4. Sort the table by the tag 1 column to bring all the tag 1 individuals together.
5. In the Title column add a symbol such as * or ~ (something that is not
used elsewhere in the database) for each tag 1 individual. This can be done
in a block by entering the symbol in an Excel cell and Control dragging down
to repeat the number of cells required before copying and pasting into the
Access Title column at the required position.
6. Close Access and reopen the database in Legacy. All direct line ancestors
now have a suffix of "*" or whatever symbol was used. Create the Pedigree
web pages with yourself as the starting person.
7. For all the individual pages (ie those whose file name is a number), change the following text string *+</a></li> To this: + <font color=red><b>Dir</b></font></a></li>
This gives a red "Dir" after each direct line child in the Family Links panel. The exact text and/or colour is of course up to you. With BTRWizard this takes about 1 minute to change 1500 files.
8. Next, run BTRWizard again to change * to nothing. This gets rid of all the other occurences of the symbol in page titles, notes etc.
Sounds a bit long winded but takes about 20 minutes to make the basic web pages. The batch text replacement method can also be used to convert the pages to external CSS for those who require it.
