wow, there are many search engines.  What would you do with all of the results 
particularly if you were to be searching for ''John Smith'  What I'm really 
trying to figure out is what you might do with the different ways various 
search engines want you to express things to get specifically desired results 
but it must be possible because meta search engines search many other search 
engines and give results.  

Have you ever used a meta search engine such as dogpile or vivisimo?   Dogpile 
searches other search engines.  Vivisimo searches other search engines and also 
will cluster results into categories which makes sorting through results easier.
