You are not wrong. You have described Legacy's so called "Endnotes"
very well. For such a great program in so many respects to totally
ignore any improvement to bring their reports up to standard is very
strange to me. I consider the necessity to use a second program to
accomplish what Legacy should be providing as very inefficient.
This is not a new problem but a very old problem. When Version 5 was
released I was very disappointed they had not addressed the
footnote/endnote problem in reports. I felt they had missed the
opportunity to go to the head of the class in genealogy software by
ignoring this major problem. Instead they added a bunch of flashy
whistles and bells.
Don't get me wrong. I love many aspects of Legacy as I have said many
times. There has not been a new version released in well over a year.
One has to wonder what is up? Hope springs eternal so they say but I
don't have eternity to wait.
