I agree Bill. I just learned about these designations in an online class
and see that it would be helpful. Though you would need more options. An
Original Source may have both Primary and Secondary information. A death
certificate for example. Legacy would have to have multiple choices on a
drop down or check box menu to cover those.
A thought would be to be to indicate Original or Derivative on the
Source Window and Primary or Secondary on the detail window. This would
allow you to enter the death certificate once as an original or
derivative source, but indicate if the information used from it was
Primary or Secondary on detail window.
