Thanks for your response it sent me searching for an answer. I think the
process you describeis true but, according to Mark D.Heber, "Ancestral
Trails" The date the birth was reported detemines the quarterly index in
which it appears and this may be weeks after a birth. I like June's
suggestion of using Jan-Mar 1855
