Hi John,
Not quite sure what you are asking for when you say you want to "quickly
see more than one at a time".
You can use Split Screen View and see, for example, two different Pedigree
Views at the same time.
When you set Direct Line as preferred, it aids navigation from generation
to generation in the Family View. (clicking to the left of the child list)
You can set as many as you like. The last line set overrides the previous
ones where they intersect but you can still navigate other lines through
the preferred child.
However, only the last line set shows Bold in the Name List and Index View.
If you had more than one line set Bold in the Name List and Index View, how
would you know which ones belonged to which line?
You could use Ancestor Interest (or Descendant Interest) and customise the
Name List to show Interest: Ancestor or both on the Details Tab.
This would indicate these people were of greater interest to you.
I can't think of any other way apart from tags that would show in the Name
list.
You can set Direct Line as preferred to one person, Ancestor Colours to
another and Relationships to yet another. That may help in Family &
Pedigree Views.
Cheers,
Cathy

Does anyone know how I can identify - at the same time - more than one
direct line as preferred. The reason I want to do this is that I have
several presently unconnected lines that because of DNA testing are know
to, in fact, originate from a common ancestor. I have them all in one
database.
I have my line identified. I know I can switch to another but want to
quickly see more than one at a time - especially in the Name List. I also
know I can use the tags but I'm looking for another route.
Any suggestions or help apprecoiated.
