No I don't know that they crawl it that often, but if they want, they can crawl it that often. But I just looked at my site on google and it says it was indexed last on June 9, 2005. So they found private data a few weeks ago. When I say 'private', I mean that I export all information from Legacy and I get my phpgedview to privatize the information. Thus, if you search a living person, there is NOTHING listed, not even a name. It is still in my gedcom on my server, but it is invisible. I have .htaccess password protected my folder that contains my gedcom, so I can't understand why it can get it.. If I put a robots.txt file that blocks /index folder, it won't index even the deceased people

Do you mean that when you created the web-pages you chose the "Suppress details for living people" option and "Change name to 'Living'" in Legacy when you generated the web-pages? Exactly how did you mark people as "private". Google cannot index information that you haven't posted on the internet. P.S. I didn't know you could instruct Google how often to crawl your site. Even so, how do you know that they actually are crawling your site that often? Have you looked at the server logs? -- Dennis M.
