Thanks Ron, I just went back and tried to create the Legacy file again and guess what, this time it worked. I have no idea what I did differently last night.
Thanks for your time. Am I misunderstanding your problem as I am not clear about what you mean about "stacking" as it does not seem to be happening to me Ron Ferguson ____________________________________ For Genealogy, Software and Social visit: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/fergys/ New Free Software Links Includes the family tree for Alan J Grimshaw http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/fergys/Grimshaw/ ____________________________________ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dick Rush" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: 08 July 2005 14:36 Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] EXPORTING FILES Ron, In the past when I exported to a legacy file using a tag number, I just was able to read the resulting file notes as exported. Now all of the notes for all individuals are stacked. So how do I export using a tag number where the resulting notes have the same format as the original file? Can you give me a step-by-step? Or are you using a different technique? Now when I export to Legacy using a tag number, all of my "notes" seem to bunch together and all spacing seems to have been lost. What is happening to my data?
