Such a lot of individual work! I have merged several files using the
drag/drop method. I just drag and drop the desired information into my file,
then invoke merge. By merging the parents (in your example), including any
different information present in the two sources (and ensuring the data
fits), I have my file intact, and under my control. I don't like to leave
any data entry to the computer or the programmers rules.
