Reecy,
You can open the two files side by side (Split Window command) go to your cousin in her file, and drag her across to your file, you will then get a pop-up that asks you who you want to import (there are six choices and you will want Ancestors). Click this and follow along with the various screens that come up.

Hi Reecy and Chris,

Reecy said she only wanted her cousin's paternal side. To get that I think she would have to "drag and drop" the cousin's father then select the "this person and their ancestors option" If she drags the cousin she will get the cousin's maternal ancestors as well.

It sounds like she will have to do a merge after the drag and drop as well. she did say there were several interconnections so she probably has already got some of the cousin's ancestors in her file that will have to be merged.
