Hi Cafi,

You could (just for the event type concerned - eg Census) edit the Event Sentence Definition and leave off [Notes], run the report and then edit again.

I put the full transcription in the source and only in the Notes of the Head of Household so I don't get this repetitive problem yet the detail is there within a couple of clicks. However, I don't use the Chronology View as you do.

If I want a report without the Census info, I just make the Census event Private (globally) and don't include Private events.

Hi Sherry -- I have tried what your suggestion, but then I do not get the
census details in the individual chronology report, as shown in one of
Geoff's videos. It makes a Really Neat (and helpful <G>) Chronology Report
when you include the complete census transcription in the event notes for
each individual. OTOH, repeating the same transcription over and over on a
Family Group Sheet report is annoying. I would love to see the OPTION TO
INCLUDE OR EXCLUDE EVENT NOTES ON EVERY REPORT for this reason.
