You are absolutely correct.  A true linked event has the capability to
add the roles of each person linked to the event.  So, you can mark
witnesses as witnesses, folks who were just present as "Present",
performers of ceremonies as "Officials", folks not known to be present
at census enumeration as "Enumerated".  This is a very powerful
capability and one that I have used a lot to show family involvement,
migration and roles in others' lives.  I also appreciate all the
helpful work around suggestions but they are just that, work arounds,
and are not nearly as capable as true linked events.  Since Ken's
excellent response last evening I am willing to drop this topic and
hope that everyone else feels the same way.
