Ken,
I would like to see someone put together a series
of database projects similar to the Danish GEDCOMP
genealogical database project.
see
http://www.lklundin.dk/gedcomp/english.php
The GEDCOMP project matches gedcoms and
provides reports of possible matches to the
contributors. It is free. I received over
100 responses from my last submission. Each
response had 1 or more possible matches.
I may do this for one of the US states and
use GenMatcher as the matching software.
I'm not such what software I will use for
evaluation and error checking of each submitted
gedcom. I have the time and computer power for
a very small piece of the worldwide action.
Is Millennia Corp or it's friends thinking about
this kind of project?

take a lot of experts from around the world to help put it all together.
Thanks

Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] V6 Features - Kens Response
Ken,
Thanks for updating us on your reasons for not being able to implement
witnesses. As an SAP software developer I understand the kind of
issues your
dealing with.
Thanks also for providing a list of features in V6, I'm really looking
forward to some of these.
Just one question regarding "Global US County Verification". This is
great
for US customers, but not for customers from other countries. However the
UK, for one, has a similar issue with county names changing over time.
This
would be a great feature if you could have a database for each
country. Are
there any plans for this? I don't how many units Legacy sells in the
UK but
I can imiagine it's this kind of functionality with a very specific US
focus, which alienates many UK customers from trying Legacy, much to
their
loss as well as Millenia's.
Regards
Keith
