Download OpenOffice 2 Beta from

If I were a regular user of MS Office, that sounds like a good idea. However, I am not, and I'm afraid it would open up a whole can of worms.
The only software that I use regularly from Microsoft, other than the Internet related software, are Windows Explorer, Microsoft Works Calendar and Picture-It. I have Word on my computer only to enable opening some documents sent to me by others. And I don't even have Excel on my computer. I am a long-time WordPerfect and Quatro-Pro user.
I guess I'll have to figure out a work-around, creating reports as text files and searching those. That seems to work for the descendant chart, but for an ancestor list I would apparently have to use a stripped down version of the "book" format, in order to get the complete date.
