Try this: Open Legacy. Open your family file. Click on the Index tab at the near top. Select a person for whom you want to add wife, husband, mother, father, son, and daughter. RIGHT click on this person. I tried it on mine, and I realized that if I right click on a person who already has parents entered for him/her then the add mother, father is grayed out. But you can still add a sibling and/or a child. Will do what you what? I'm using V5 Deluxe. I have a husband/wife identified in my file. When I click on either one from the Index view they appear on my screen, but I can do nothing with them, such as add a parent. I get the following error message: Error in trick group (107) routine Error 94: Invalid use of null. I'm then given the option to "try again" - yes/no or quit. No matter which I select I'm automatically dumped out of Legacy and I then have to launch Legacy again to continue entering data. How do I resolve this problem, please. Thanks in advance for any assistance on this.
