The kind of charts I'm talking about are sometimes called dropline charts.
Legacy's add-on Tree-Draw makes them.  You can go to their web site
(www.spansoft.org) and see examples.  Also FTM, makes these kinds of
charts, as does Heredis which has an examples here: www.myheredis.com.
Actually the example at the Heredis site is an ancestor tree which is not
quite the same thing as the very nice pedigree charts that Legacy makes.
There are also fan and circle charts of ancestors, as well as bow-tie or
butterfly charts.  There are also combination charts that show all
descendants
and ancestors of a selected person in a database.  And FTM offers the
"all in one chart", which can become a chart of everyone in a database, even
though for a large database it becomes very unwieldy.
