I do not think you can search directly for "Jane Jones" unless
YOU have entered that as an alternate name for her as a result of
her marriage. Remember her name as stored in Legacy is Jane
Smith. I remember Family Tree Maker used to have an option for
using the husbands surname for a wife but I think that was only
for listings in reports etc. She was still stored in the data
base under her maiden name and that was how you had to search for
her.
To simplify the search for a Jane Smith who married a Fred Jones
I would use the marriage list. In that screen you can search for
either gender spouse and see a list of their spouses. If you
cannot find a Jane Smith with a husband Fred Jones you could look
for Fred Jones and see what wives he/they had.

Is there anyway to search for female given name and husband surname?
Example:
Female maiden name is Jane Smith
Husband name is Fred Jones
How would you search for Jane Jones
