| But you can make the sentence read however is appropriate. If you
| go to the individual and edit the event you can do a sentence
| override for that individual's event to make the tense read correctly.
|
| I also disagree that the past tense is always inappropriate for
| living individuals. In my family at least my Father's occupation
| changed at least 4 or five times over the course of his life. He
| was a farmer from 1935 to 1949, A steam engineer in the oilfields
| from 1949- 1962, a building plant manager at a series of
| hospitals and residential schools from 1962 - 1979 and then a
| stockroom clerk in an oilfield supply firm until he retired. Once
| he had finished each of those occupations the past tense "He
| worked as ..." was very appropriate. If Legacy were try to change
| the tense for every case the Event definition itself would have
| to have a start and end date and the programs would have to
| include logic to check "today" against the end date or look for a
| blank end date to determine the correct tense.
|

Yes, I know you can make *individual* reports sentences read what you want,
but a *living* person's *last* occupation etc should read correctly. Not
necessary to change the tense of every occupation, only the last of the
Living tag.
