I use DD MMM YYYY format with the double dating checked. What I am trying to achieve is the year 1723/4 double date with the month as Mar and no day. I am not trying to set it as between the years of 1703 and 1704 but as a double date. It shows correctly as "Mar 1723/4" on the family page and on reports, but the "report all questionable dates" sees it as an invalid date.
I have set those dates as excluded from the problems report. I just remember some chatter a while back that others were having this problem. I thought it would be fixed in Vs 6, but perhaps I am incorrect as believing this is a problem or bug. I am satisfied with excluding those dates from the problem reports. I just wanted to report that they still have to be excluded and the program still sees them as incorrect. La Nell -----Original Message----- Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] Potential Problem reports - Check for valid dates I think I see what is happening. The "Mar 1723/4" is being interpreted as March 4, 1723 when what you really want is both years. After selecting the following settings for dates in Options >> Dates: Input is month-day-year Use double dating is checked (set cutoff year to 1752 if not set) Check formatting is checked. Report all questionable dates My dates are displayed as 1953 NOV 21, with format with 2 digit day/month and format as 4 digit year both checked. Then, I entered Mar 1723-1724, and it is displayed as 1723/24 MAR. Is this what you are trying to achieve? Robert -----Original Message----- Subject: [LegacyUG] Potential Problem reports - Check for valid dates This report is still reporting a double date with only a month and year with no day (such as Mar 1723/4) as not a valid date.
