I have been using the split screen over and over and over for the
past three days, and I have ALWAYS been asked if I want to open
a different file ... I have XP Home ...
Could it be a setting somewhere .... I've been so busy in Legacy
my brain is numb!

course, is exactly what I do want to do.) I had a similar problem in
V4 but then I was running a different OS. Now I am using XP Pro and
have plenty of memory and hard drive space. Is there a work around
for this problem?
