Save a GEDCOM from Legacy using File, Export, GEDCOM and select GEDCOM 5.5 only.
There are additional steps if the recipient is using FTM 11 or older because note spacing is different. Legacy 5 and 6 do not keep the correct note spacing from the new FTM 2006 GEDCOMs if you receive them from someone who has updated to the current version.
