Thanks for the tip, Mary! I didn't like seeing the cause of my parents' deaths in my face whenever I came to them in Legacy (having recorded it simply because I had the information), but it never occurred to me that I could change what appeared there.

I've substituted Age at Death for Cause of Death, much more informative for me. I saw straight away that the g-g-g-grandfather I was working on today had both of his wives die at the age of 28 - never noticed that before. Poor man spent more time as a widower than as a married man, but managed to father five children in the process. (Alfred Francis CRYER, c.1837-1909, London/Middlesex, in case anyone has him in their tree!)

The <Ctrl><A> tip was excellent too - thanks Robert! :-)

... If you wish to have the death age displayed on the Family view, you can change the labels to have one display the Age-death. I changed my labels to read, from top to bottom:
Born
Died
Bur
Age which I changed to read: Age-death
Date Modified which reads: Update
I can see the marriage info on the marriage box so just about everything I wish to see immediately is now visible for me in the Family View.

If you want to try changing some of your label settings for the Family View, right click on one of the labels, then click on Customize. You will see columns titled Field Name; to the right click on the little box ... and a long list of label names will pop up. Change them around and take a look. If you don't like the results, go back and change them back or to other labels. It's a very easy way to put specific info that suits you, right on the Family View. In the Names to Display box, you can actually type in something, as I did with the Age at Death. It would just have displayed Age but I added "-death", so I would know immediately what that age represented.

----- Original Message ----- |I have the latest V6 version. Do the ages display on the Family View page
| anymore? They used to show in the background margin to the right of the
| persons box opposite the "died" entry. Am I missing a setting, or do you
| have to go into the separate View-Age screen now for this info?

| Thanks.
